Uni-Directional (UD) prepreg reinforcements are much stronger than other reinforcements. They are indicated when the parts to be reinforced are subject to greater stress, as is the case with long-span temporary bridges, implant-stabilized prostheses and prostheses incorporating precision attachments. They are indispensable when the dental surgeon is faced with the problem of fracture of an acrylic prosthesis. Once integrated, the UD fibers remain perfectly invisible, and the tooth laminate does not alter the patient's prosthetic comfort.
