Biolight plus consists of a bundle of individual thin posts, initially held in place by a sleeve, enabling them to be inserted into the root canal in a single operation. Once the root canal has been prepared, the post bundle is silanized, saturated with luting composite and then inserted into the root canal filled with luting composite.

The sleeve is separated with simple scissors, and the micro posts are distributed in the available space. A flat-tipped probe is used to fill the entire canal light. The deployment of the posts contributes both to the homogeneous reinforcement of the sealing composite throughout the root canal and to an increase in the contact surface with the restorative composite in the coronal zone, resulting in a high overall stability of the post system.

Biolight plus makes it possible to create individual restorations while preserving tooth substance. This is because the individual thin posts adapt to the available morphology. Consequently, there’s no need to drill the root canal with a reamer to fit a standardized post, to the detriment of root structure.

Biolight plus™, thanks to its unique design, is particularly suitable for use in irregularly shaped root canals, but also in canals prepared with a large taper. 

Biolight plus ™ is available in four color-coded sizes:

n° 4 (Red, idealized diameter of 0.8 mm) consisting of 4 individuals 

posts. 

n° 6 (Blue, idealized diameter 1.0 mm) with 6 individual posts. 

n° 9 (Black, idealized diameter 1.2 mm) with 9 individual posts.

n° 12 (Yellow, idealized diameter 1.4 mm) with 12 individual posts.
